Trustlytics Support Center > Settings > Personal Email Reports
Once you have successfully logged into Trustlytics and the dashboard is displayed, please go to the top-right corner of the screen and click on the icon with the gear. This symbol represents the settings function.
Go to the left side and select the “Email Reports” menu item.
You are now viewing a list of the planned email reports. If you haven't created an email report yet, this list is currently empty. Click on “Create and Schedule a report”.
The form for adding new reports is straightforward:
Description
First, you have the option to insert a description. Click on the empty field and enter a description.
Choose a segment
Then you can select a segment. Simply click on the field with the current segment (e.g., All visits) and a dropdown menu will open. Now, choose the preferred segment by clicking on an option.
Attention: If you have not created specific segments, “All visits” will be displayed automatically and it is not possible to select segments.
Email Schedule
Next, you have the option to set the schedule in which the report will be sent to you. To select your desired schedule, please click on the corresponding field (e.g., Weekly). Then, a dropdown menu will open where you can make your selection by clicking on the desired schedule.
The “Never” schedule allows you to temporarily suspend the delivery of the report without deleting it. If you want to resend the report, you can simply choose one of the other three schedules.
Report Period
The time period covered in this report is by default equal to the frequency of email delivery. This means, for example, that with weekly delivery, all information from the past week is included.
If you would like to receive different information but still maintain the same frequency of email delivery, you have the option to customize this. Let's assume that the emails are sent once a week and the reporting period is daily — in this case, you will receive information only about the last day of the period each week.
Send report at X o'clock
Set the time at which you want the report to be delivered to you. To select your desired time, please click on the corresponding field (e.g., 1). Then a dropdown menu will open, where you can make your selection by clicking on the desired time.
Send report via
You have the option to deliver the report either by email or by SMS. To select your desired delivery method, please click on the corresponding field (e.g., EMAIL). Afterward, a dropdown menu will open where you can make your selection by clicking on the desired delivery method.
Attention: If you choose the MOBILE option, Trustlytics will attempt to send you the report via SMS. However, if there is no connection to the SMS provider (more information at Mobile Messaging), no SMS will be sent and you will not receive a report.
Report Format
There is the possibility to select the desired format for the report. If you choose the HTML format, the entire report will be integrated into the email. For the PDF, CSV, and TSV formats, the report will be attached to the email. To select your desired report format, please click on the corresponding field (e.g., HTML). Then a dropdown menu will open, where you can make your selection by clicking on the desired report format.
If you have selected “Send report via” MOBILE, you cannot select anything. You will receive the report as an SMS.
Send report to
The report will be automatically sent to your email address. If you do not want this, you can click the box and deactivate your email address. In the section “Also send the report to these emails (one email per line):” you have the option to add one or more email addresses. Simply click on the empty field and enter the desired email address there. If you want to enter multiple addresses, please make sure that each address is on its own line.
If you have selected “Send report via” MOBILE, the report will be sent to the verified phone number.
Display options
You have the option to determine how the email report should be displayed:
If you select “Display Graphs only (no report tables)” or “Display Report tables and Graphs for all reports”, you can enable the option to display a historical graph for the top 5 values in each report.
If you use graphs in your report, you have the option to decide whether they should be displayed daily during the selected period or over multiple periods (e.g., the last N weeks for a weekly email report or the last N months for a monthly email report).
Statistics included
In the final section, you have the opportunity to determine which metrics and reports should be included in the email report. You can choose from all available metrics and reports from Trustlytics and, of course, select multiple ones.
Once you have selected and set all the options, click on “Update Report” at the bottom and your report will be created.
