Trustlytics Support Center > First steps > Checking the functionality
After the tracking code has been inserted into your website, you should browse your website and visit different pages. Now give Trustlytics 5 minutes to successfully report your visit.
If you are already logged into the Trustlytics dashboard, press the blue button, “Log in to Trustlytics web analytics”. If you are not yet in the Trustlytics dashboard, please log in.
If you have done everything correctly, the request to integrate the tracking code on Trustlytics is no longer visible. Instead, you now see the web analytics dashboard.
Now use a different browser than the one you are logged into Trustlytics with. Let's say you are logged into Trustlytics with Google Chrome and also have Microsoft Edge available. Open your website in Microsoft Edge now and stay there. Then switch back to Google Chrome and to Trustlytics Web Analytics.
Click on “Visitors” in the menu on the left. This will open a submenu. Navigate to “Real-time Map” and click on it.
In the main window, you can now see a world map and a larger orange dot (or multiple dots if there are already visitors on your website). The orange dot should be located at the place from which you are accessing. In short, if you see one or more orange dots on the world map, you have done everything correctly and Trustlytics is now tracking the number of visitors to your website.
If you do not see any orange dots on the world map, you may have made an error in integrating the tracking code. Please go through the instructions again and carefully check the tracking code on your website. Furthermore, make sure to use two different browsers for testing (opening a separate browser window of the same browser will not work).
Congratulations! The integration has been successfully completed and Trustlytics is now active and in use.
