Time period

No matter what question you have during your analysis, it is important to ensure that the data is viewed within a suitable time frame. To assist you with this, there is the “Date range” button. The label on this button always displays the currently selected date range.

You can select the desired time period in any area. This will remain in effect until it is changed again, or you log out.

When you click on the “Date range” button in the top menu, a submenu will open.

You now have the option to select the time period. Trustlytics offers you five different options to choose from:

Day

If you select the “day” option, you have the possibility to choose any day on the calendar and Trustlytics will show you the information for that specific day.

Week

If you select the “week” option, you have the possibility to choose any week in the calendar and Trustlytics will show you the information for that specific week.

Month

If you select the “month” option, you have the possibility to choose any month in the calendar, and Trustlytics will show you the information for that specific month.

Year

If you select the “year” option, you have the possibility to choose any year in the calendar, and Trustlytics will show you the information about that specific year.

Date range

If you select the “date range” option, you have the possibility to choose any timeframe in the calendar and Trustlytics will show you the information for that specific timeframe.

To start the selection, you can choose one of the five options on the right side. Above the calendar, there are dropdown menus for month and year, which allow you to easily navigate through the available time periods.

The highlighted period is marked with a black background color. If you are satisfied with this selection, please click on the “Apply” button to reload the page with the data for the selected period.

Directly below the calendar is the option “Compare to:”. Once you activate this, you have the ability to compare data from different time periods with each other.

Start by selecting one of the five options on the right side and then setting the time period on the calendar. Afterward, you can activate the “Compare to:” option.

There are three different options to choose from:

Previous Period

In this way, the data selected by you will be compared with the immediately preceding period. If you select a specific day, the comparison will be made with the previous day. When selecting a month, the data will be compared with the previous month, and so on. This function is particularly helpful for checking short-term growth trends and determining the direct impact of website changes.

Previous Year

This report compares the data from the time period you have selected with the data from the exact same time period in the previous year. This type of analysis is particularly helpful for businesses that are seasonal and where month-to-month growth may not be indicative. An example of this would be an ice skating rink that is only open for a few months each year. By comparing the first month of operation each year with the same month from the previous year, you can gain insights into marketing before the season begins.

Custom

There is the possibility to set any time period for reports. This feature can be helpful if you want to compare marketing campaigns that take place at different times. For example, you could run offline advertising in different seasons and want to check the online impact during these periods.

Select the comparison option and click on the “Apply” button.

The data will be provided according to your specifications. This will be displayed in a box below the top menu.
